Abstract :
In this paper, we present two register-transfer level (RTL) designs of physical layer-baseband (PHY-BB) for IEEE802.11n wireless local area network (WLAN) system. One is two antennas model which is able to achieve 144 Mbps with 20 MHz bandwidth, and the other is four antennas model which is able to achieve 600 Mbps with 40 MHz bandwidth. We engineer them applying a model-based design process (MBDP) which can accelerate and simplify the development. The results of logic synthesis and the implementation experiments on prototyping FPGA board are reported.
