Abstract :
A tunable and single-frequency optically-pumped semiconductor fiber laser is demonstrated that incorporates a half-cavity vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser within a fiber Fabry-Perot cavity. Continuous wavelength tuning over 40 nm at 1300 nm wavelength region is obtained under cw operation
