Abstract :
The radio absorption properties of these cast amorphous microwire (produced by Ulitovsky-Taylor method) appear around the frequency of natural ferromagnetic resonance. In that range, dispersion is observed in the real and imaginary components of relative magnetic permeability. In summary, glass-coated amorphous microwires, which have been used to fabricate composites in the form of planar radio absorbing screens less then 2 mm thick operating efficiently in the range 8-11 GHz. It is shown that the microwires under consideration are of certain technological interest for radio-absorption. The application of thinner microwire can improve the characteristics of the screens by increasing the effective conductivity of the simple. Knowing the width of the dispersion curve of magnetic permeability, one can use various microwires more efficiently for design of radar-absorbing materials.
