Abstract :
With increasingly fierce competition in the construction market, project management urgently need a feasible, stable and accurate project schedule plan which can be implemented smoothly in a dynamic environment. The traditional methods, such as CPM/PERT, has been unable to deal with the actual project with the uncertain duration and resource constraints. Although some researchers have adopted critical chain method based on the probability theory to deal with resource constraints and uncertainty, statistical data are often in short. This paper develops a fuzzy critical chain project scheduling, consisting of solving resource-constrained project scheduling via improved genetic algorithm, and determining the feeding and project buffer size estimated by fuzzy theory in designed algorithm. The project buffer size can be used to deal with the possible delay of the project. The proposed method is useful for project managers to obtain a feasible, stable and accurate project plan.
