Abstract
An optical DRAM, which can store information in its optical format for a long term, is demonstrated with a refreshable WDM loop memory. Optical data can be written and read at very high speed. A dynamically refreshable optical loop memory is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. With such technique, optical packet in the fiber loop can be stored as long as the time the system requires. It will be beneficial to the high capacity all optical network and high throughput data storage and retrieval applications
