Abstract
The purpose of this study is to establish a medical expert system for diagnosis in the domain of cardiological diseases. This medical expert system will be useful for both patients and physicians. This medical expert system is developed by using a public domain rule based expert system (RES). In this program, fact and rules represent expert and reference book´s knowledge. A cardiological disease tree is formed for program´s inference engine. This disease tree has “yes” or “no” answers to questions. The database of this program has thirteen diseases. The evaluation of this program is made by twenty-five patient data. Results are compatible with physician´s diagnoses
