Abstract

An electronic commerce system for the market of medical equipment (MEDICOM) is presented. The MEDICOM service will be provided over the Internet by the MEDICOM portal, and by a set of distributed subsystems, the ECRI´s universal medical device nomenclature system (UMDNS) is used to register all products, the system design is characterized by platform independence and interoperability
