Abstract :
This paper presents a smart window system which can transmit only necessary sound as siren of ambulance, but blocks any other unnecessary noises and disturbances in the primary path, by controlling the second window´s vibration by piezoelectric actuators using information of the first window´s vibration sensed by piezoelectric sensors. For the purpose, we propose the adaptive necessary signal extraction control scheme which consists of the new extractor which can extract only necessary siren signals, and the new two degree-of-freedom virtual error controller which update the parameters of both FF and FB adaptive controllers. Its effectiveness is validated in numerical simulations and experiments.
