Abstract :
An new algorithm for block motion compensation is presented. Block motion compensation algorithms trade speed for accuracy. The new algorithm subsamples the search space for speed and uses the successive elimination algorithm (SEA) to further constrain the search space. Simulation results show that the algorithm performs similarly to the SEA algorithm and is computationally faster
