  • Abstract
A new approach to signal analyzing based on phase space reconstruction is proposed, and is applied to extract morphological features of the impact. In the new method of phase space reconstruction, the original signal is decomposed into different scales by stationary wavelet transform (SWT), and the wavelet coefficients of SWT are used to reconstruct the phase space. From previous literatures, the low-dimensional morphological feature hidden in the high-dimensional data is obtained through the nonlinear dimension reduction in phase space- and the morphological feature is similar to the attractor trajectory. Experimental results show that morphological features are successfully extracted by the new method and also position and weakness of the impact are identified effectively.
