Abstract :
This paper proposes a digital storage media command and control (DSM-CC) carousel caching and management architecture that can support priority-based scheduling of monitoring threads and the caching mechanism of carousel objects for a quick launch and download of Xlet. This proposed architecture is able to accommodate the data broadcasting middleware that uses DSM-CC object carousel mechanisms, such as advanced common application platform (ACAP), open cable application platform (OCAP), and multimedia home platform (MHP).
