Abstract :
A fast digital image stabilization method based on morphological edge matching is proposed. Firstly, morphological edge detection and matching is used to estimate the local movement vectors calculated by logical correlation operator instead of pixel-wise gray arithmetic operators, the computation cost is greatly reduced. Secondly, in order to remove the undesired displacement due to several undesired conditions, the exclude decision is made to judge whether the local movement vector is desired or not, and finally global movement vector is obtained by weighted median to further enhance there liability. Experiments show that this method is fast and efficient for image stabilization.
