Abstract
Continuous temperature measurement of lung and muscle tissue were made in calves implanted with heated disks in the thorax for up to seven weeks. The temperature decrease over time under constant heat flux gives the direct evidence of the tissue´s adaptation to the extra heat. The effect of tissue type and heating duration on tissue thermal characteristics were examined by step-response analysis
