Abstract :
In this paper, we present a novel real-time FAT file system based on flash memory. Flash memory based storage system is hard to guarantee deterministic write response time because of flash memory characteristics. To get deterministic and uniform write-responses, we modified both FAT file system and log-block FTL algorithm. We are proposing ACPA and sector reservation method for our goal. With our real-time FAT file system, mobile devices such as MP3 player, digital camcorder is able to record higher bandwidth multimedia stream stably.
