Abstract
It is recent researching hotspot to integrate multiuser detection with smart antenna for CDMA. In order to reduce the system complexity and manufacture cost, we must make a compromise between them. In this paper, the BER expressions of Rake receiver with parallel interference cancellation and antenna array in Rayleigh channels are derived for WCDMA. The impact of antenna number and cancellation stage on BER performance is investigated to lay the foundation of designing a receiver of low cost.
