Abstract :
In order to supply the valuable, useful information to the decision maker for optimal bidding of electrical power market, a data warehouse system based on Web is applied to bidding system for power suppliers. In order to take fan advantage of Web-based data warehouse, and provide the solution that traditional Web-based data warehouse system could not provide, the Web data warehouse system structure based on the agent technology has been proposed in this paper. How to integrate the useful Web data to data warehouse is critical in our method, our proposal is to transfer the HTML page into XML data source combined with agent technology. Therefore, the power suppliers could fully use the network source, and transfer them into their data warehouse system to support various applications of their systems. Secondly, the applications of agent on the application server layer and on the data warehouse system are analyzed respectively, and the method of realizing the functional agent is proposed. According to this method, the feasible and efficient Web-based data warehouse could be constituted for the power suppliers. Finally, an example of application has been illustrated that the power suppliers can apply the proposed Web-based data warehouse with the agent technology into their bidding strategies
