Abstract :
In this paper, a heuristic FEC assignment schemes for unequal error protection of motion JPEG2000 streams is proposed, which uses the slope of the rate-distortion curve to choose the code for each quality layer. Simulation results proved that it can attain better quality and lower complexity compared to conventional FEC assignment methods.
