Abstract :
In this paper the capability of interphase power controller (IPC) for limiting the network fault current is discussed. An efficient algorithm is presented, which specifies the values of elements of IPC as a fault limiter including angels of phase shifting transformers and reactances of the reactor and the capacitor. As a case study, the application of the algorithm in Iran electric network to decrease short circuit level in some of 230 kV substations is presented, too
