Abstract :
This paper presents a unified framework for the solution of the AC security constrained OPF problem including contingencies. Both system quantities for the base case and the contingency cases are simultaneously optimized according to the desired preventive or corrective behavior of each one. The underlying nonlinear problem is solved with an algorithm based on the interior point method. Some numerical results are presented on small and large test networks
