            Abstract :
Advancements in compositional real-time scheduling frameworks have made it feasible to build large and complex real-time systems by composing multiple subsystems also known as components. Different frameworks with different resource models have recently been proposed for a variety of realtime task models. However, these works have focused their analysis on efficient scheduling of components´ task set under a given resource model, providing little or no interest on energy consumption, which has become an important issue in many recent real-time embedded applications. In this paper, we propose a new compositional scheduling framework to compose multiple power-aware components. We introduce the power-aware periodic resource model, and the power-aware interface model to abstract the real-time and energy requirements of a component in the system. The schedulability analysis of the framework is provided under both EDF (Earliest Deadline First) and RM (Rate Monotonic) scheduling policies.
