Computer-aided drawing check for CAD systems-a method for the checking of dimensions in multiview mechanical drawings

The authors consider a method for systematic checking of dimensional errors, such as deficiency and/or redundancy of dimensions or input errors in dimension texts. The logic for finding dimensional errors is written by using a procedural language. A geometric model and a topological-graph model are used in this method. Checking for deficiency and redundancy of dimensions is based on graph theory. System tests on standard types of mechanical part drawings suggest that there are many potential applications
