Abstract
The authors proposed an algorithm for automatically reconstructing a solid from a set of the orthographic three views. After cylindrical parts of the object are replaced by prisms, one can generate candidate solids with planes only. The cylindrical surface can be recognized by the location of the arc on the projected plane and then the ghost can be removed from candidate solids by the comparison between the projected data on them and the input data
