Abstract :
For precise atmospheric correction over nonuniform terrain in satellite imagery, a numerical method for evaluating the upwelling radiation at the top of the atmosphere bounded by a nonuniform surface is developed. This method makes it possible to treat quantitatively the case of a hazy atmosphere and/or the large albedo of the surface. The present version is basically an extension of a one-dimensional radiative transfer code, so that it is very economical in terms of computer time. Thus, it would be suitable for simulating the satellite imagery
