Abstract :
TMS320DM642 is a special high-speed DSP processor chip developed by the Texas Instruments for the digital multimedia application. In the paper, the performance features of the TMS320DM642 chip is introduced and the digital frame extractor based on the TMS320DM642 is designed. The video input module and output module, the hard disk module, the network module of the digital extractor are configured in detail. The software design flow based on the hardware platform is proposed in the paper. The playback of the video data based on the network interface is designed. The image files stored in the hard disk is transferred to the personal computer for broadcasting through the network to verify the validity of the digital frame extractor.
