Abstract :
This paper proposes a simplified method of statistical approaches to determine the structural reliability of large electrical power systems. For the design and maintenance of power systems, it is necessary to estimate the values of electrical magnitudes defined by probable operational modes and their deviations, called differential disturbances. These disturbances can result in increase in power and current loading of units, current-carrying parts and switching devices of power stations, which need to be taken into account to define the calculated values.
