Abstract :
Real-time system is said to be failed in case it is unable to produce response at correct time. Networked based real-time systems are much more prone to this kind of failures. Dependability model only consider hardware failures. For timeliness (ability to produce response at correct time), only worst-case guarantee is used. The paper proposes a method to derive timeliness hazard rate. This will enable in deriving a single dependability model of system with hardware and timeliness failures.
