            Abstract :
Digital rights management (DRM) technology aims to distribute digital contents to consumers in a controlled manner that can protect the copyright of digital contents. In order to meet consumer´s expectations, DRM approaches and related services and applications upon which they are based should coexist in an environment that supports interoperability. In this paper, we propose a Digital Rights Management system architecture based on ChinaDRM metadata schema; The approach supports import and export different types of rights license, and also provides the rights transfer capability, so that it can achieve a certain level of interoperability which is proved by a practical distance education project.
