Abstract :
In this paper, estimation of the scale factor influence on the temperature of the steam boiler pipe wall is discussed. In the calculations of the heat transfer according to the procedures and standards available, the influence of the scale factor is not considered. Standard procedure determines the pipe wall temperature by the total influence of the heat resistance of the metal and all complexity of oxides and deposits based on the experience of industrial exploitation of steam boilers. Effective heat conductivity of the quality steel X18H10T pipe depends on the wall thickness. Taken into account, the scale factor, the value of the heat resistance of heat transfer increases by order but doesn´t influence the temperature of the pipe wall due to a decrease of calorific intensity.
