Abstract :
Impact analysis is a core activity of requirement change management (RCM). The pre-requisite of impact analysis activity is traceability information. There are various techniques present in literature used for storing, extracting and updating the traceability information for the purpose of performing impact analysis. We have identified the need to perform impact analysis from multiple perspectives. The three perspectives present in literature namely technical, organizational and personal perspective; help in identifying technical, organizational and personal impacts. This paper evaluates various traceability techniques with respect to their usefulness for Multiple Perspective Impact Analysis (MPIA).
