Abstract :
The experimental feasibility investigation was conducted to produce intracardiac muscle tissue lesions using high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). The purpose of this investigation was to establish HIFU system parameters that can lead towards a future ultrasound device which can provide both ultrasound image guidance as well as ablative capabilities
