Abstract
This paper investigates a class of finite-horizon linear quadratic regular control problem for the continuous networked control systems with both packet delay and packet dropping. Based on estimation approach, a complete and explicit solution to the LQ problem is given in terms of a backward Riccati equation. The control input can be determined without knowing whether the previous control signal is lost or not. The controller is easily implemented since only part of the history control input need to be stored.
