Abstract :
With two groups of internal state variables and their correlative intrinsic time, a new constitutive equation for rheologic characteristics of soil was developed based on thermodynamic theory and endochronic theory. Numerical solution of the constitutive equation under axial symmetry condition was obtained by optimization. The new intrinsic constitutive equation does very well in simulating the essential features of the rheologic behavior of soil.
