Abstract :
The operating principles of nonlinear directional coupler (NLDC) and its use in ultrafast all-optical switching are given. The switching is controlled by copropagating a controlling soliton pulse along with signal pulse. Four different schemes of all-optical switching are analyzed using finite difference method
