Abstract :
This paper studies the statistical characteristics of a type of fault detection schemes based on CUSUM(Cumulative Sum) test and present both analytical results and Monte-Carlo simulation results for the probability distribution of the detection delay and the time between false alarms. These results can find important applications in both design and analysis of active fault tolerant control systems.
