Abstract :
With ISDN user part (ISUP) signalling, it will be possible to provide different services in the same transmission facility without dedicated partitioning. The paper considers a multi-service switched integrated digital network with dynamic routing where several services are offered. This type of network provides a viable platform for deploying new services in the ISDN era by taking advantage of the dynamic routing capabilities. The paper addresses the problem of network dimensioning for such a multi-service dynamic routing network and presents mathematical formulations of this problem. Exploiting the structure, it proposes a penalty-function based decomposition algorithm for solving this problem
