Abstract :
Grid provides us a lot of computing services and resources. However, grid service interfaces are good for programmers, but not for users. Portal is a suitable framework to integrate grid resources and help users communicate easily with the grid infrastructure via Web browsers. Grid technologies have an impact on many areas of sciences, including biology. Grid computing has helped biologist resolve a lot problems. We show the architect of the implemented grid computing environment and a grid iPortal´s application (GridBlast Channel) resolving biological sequence alignment problems.
