Here we report A method recently developed concerning capillary electrophoresis (CE) separation of amino acid enantiomers with various commercially available cyclodextrins (CDs). In this method, Several experimental parameters were evaluated, such as CDs, the concentration and pH of the buffer, the separation temperature, and the separation voltage. Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to optimize the chiral separation conditions for tryptophan enantiomer. The results indicated that the optimal conditions for separation were: borate buffer in the concentration of 39.3 mmol/L, pH 9.5, β-CD 45 mmol/L, 25°C, separation voltage 20.0 KV and addition of lesser methanol.
