Abstract
Five experiences with organizing student groups for semester-long electrical engineering design education projects are discussed. While having continually tried to improve the process, the bad experiences have been informative as well. Current grouping algorithms focus on personality types along with performance in specific courses-both attitude and grades. Apportioning points within the groups is also discussed.
