Abstract
Designing high throughput wireless mesh networks is a challenge. Network coding has been shown to substantially improve throughput. According to the WMNs characteristic we study a multi-rate linear network coding for minimum-cost in wireless mesh networks and propose an scheme for efficient implementation . The scheme is in multi-rate codes which the source and intermediate nodes perform linear coding operations that do not have to be changed if a different subgraph is used. It operate at the minimum possible cost subgraph for each of the values of the throughput that are achievable.
