Abstract :
Layered multicast is a good solution to the heterogeneous problem in multicast congestion control. However, the traditional layered multicast uses cumulative layering, which brings a rough adjustment of rate.It limits the full utilization of network bandwidth. This paper designs a congestion control algorithm for multicast based on non-cumulative layering. By using a binary model, it can accurately select which layer to add. Tt achieves a fine-grained congestion control, it also improves the quality of data transmission. So, this design has extensive application prospects.
