Abstract :
We have successfully used a fiber Raman laser at 1.15 μm to enhance the output power of a previously demonstrated Ho3+-doped fiber laser that simultaneously oscillates at 3 μm and 2 μm. To our best knowledge, the output power of 1.6 W ( 840 mW at 3 μm and 770 mW at 2 μm) obtained in this experiment is higher than any previously reported for a fluoride-glass fiber laser oscillating in the mid-infrared regions
