Abstract :
There are more than just a few examples in the history of innovations when it is not so obvious who exactly should be praised as the inventor of a specific device. The invention of radio communications are certainly one of them. This paper is based on historical documentation and describes the battle of Nikola Tesla and Guglielmo Marconi in the USA as well as the parallel and independent work of the Alexander Popov in the Russia. The aim of the paper is to objectively present all available historical facts and to perceive the merits of all three great inventors, as well as conditions in which they delivered their work.
