Abstract :
The study of the propagation of ultrafast wide bandwidth pulses through fibre grating (FG) structures is especially important in applications such as optical pulse shaping, pulse coding, and dispersion compensation. We present tools to obtain the backward and forward impulse responses at any position inside FG devices. These tools provide a deep insight into the dynamics of formation of arbitrary ultrafast pulses responses
