To establish an assay measuring the enzymatic activity of Human glandular kallikrein2 in human seminal plasma. To utilize the assay in seminal plasma test. To provide data for the function and clinical application value of hK2. The assay has been established. The hK2 enzymatic activity of normozoospermia group is 21.2±8.3U/L. The high viscosity group is 11.8±6.0U/L. The oligo-asthenospermia group is 12.8±7.7U/L. The asthenospermia group is 10.5±5.3U/L. The leukocytospermia group is 15.0±7.9U/L. There is a significant decrease of hK2 enzymatic activity compared with the normozoospermia group (P<;0.05 or P<;0.01). Our lab established an assay to measure the enzymatic activity of hK2 in human seminal plasma. The decreased enzymatic activity of hK2 in human seminal plasma is related to male infertility.
