Abstract
We have described two high-performance hybrid integrated modules for the broadcast-and-select photonic ATM switching node. The requirements for the modules were achieved using hybrid integration technologies that employ the PLC platform. The 8-channel optical wavelength selector module obtained precise waveguide length control and low optical crosstalk by direct PLC-PLC attachment and hybrid integration of the SS-SOA arrays on the PLC platform
