Abstract :
We introduce a Mach-Zehnder interferometer whose optical path difference is controlled by a tunable optical delay line. Using the interferometer as a demodulator for fiber Bragg grating sensors, intensity-based measurement of dynamic strain with a wide range of 0~1880 μstrain and 0~1 kHz is experimentally demonstrated
