Abstract :
In this contribution it is shown, that the possibilities for the future global management of automation-technical systems is to be increased by Internet technologies. It is, in addition, possible to reduce the complexity in handling such systems. This contribution describes an infrastructure for visualisation of electrical drives and their associated control environment via Internet and usual Web browser and remote handling with such devices. The service oriented architecture presented is based on "Web technologies". A description is given of a prototype implementation called WebLAut at the Erlangen Chair of Information Technologies (LIKE). It will be presented by means of various scenarios on the simulation model.
