Abstract
The scattering of ultrashort electromagnetic pulses is under investigation numerically by the following models of nonlinear scatterers: nonlinearly loaded vibrator and two-dimensional plate. The calculations carried out give the possibility of determining optimal values of electromagnetic probing pulse duration, to obtain the maximal useful reflected signal at the second harmonic
