Abstract :
Solar arrays are the most expensive components in photovoltaic power systems. Thus solar arrays should be operated at their maximum power point in order to reduce the overall cost of the power system. This paper presents a new peak power tracker (PPT) which forces a PV power system to extract the maximum power from solar arrays, regardless of the change of load demand, insolation and temperature. The benefits of the PPT are simplicity, cost-effectiveness and flexibility
