Abstract :
We are pleased to present the proceedings of the Fifth International Workshop on Sensor Networks and Systems for Pervasive Computing (PerSeNS 2009), held in conjunction with PerCom 2009. PerSeNS 2009 consolidates the great success of the four previous editions. It is becoming a premier international forum for discussions on sensor and pervasive networks, systems, and services between researchers, practitioners and students. This allows to foster a different vision of the pervasive computing field, which includes also the unusual interaction and exchange among scientists of different areas.
